This is a product I brought on a whim. For the last year or so I've been using eye shadow to fill in my eyebrows and I thought it was time to get a product actually made for this. I didn't want to splash out too much, so I went with Sleek's brow kit.
I naturally have dark eyebrows, they're pretty much black, so I was assuming that a dark kit would work for my dark eyebrows. How wrong I was. This kit I'd far too brown for my brows, and has far too much red pigment in it. I don't think I've ever seen anyone have this colour brows naturally.
Firstly I tried following the instructions on the back, using the wax followed by the power. I actually really like the wax, other than the colour. I found after putting on the brown wax followed by the really brown power ended up looking far too brown.
I then tried using the wax followed by an eyeshadow which matches my brows better. It works better, however it's just still slightly too brown for my brow colour.
One thing I do love, however, are the mini brushes and tweezers. The mini brushes are great, and tweezers are ok but not as good as my usual tweezers - but they are still really cute. Also, it is really pigmented, which is quite frustrating as it means it would last for such a long time. I think this should have been labelled as medium and not dark. This is one product that I really wanted to love, however I just couldn't see to get it suit me.
Bottom line
Would I buy this again? No.
Would I recommend to this to a friend? If I know someone who's eyebrows matched this colour then maybe, but I still think it contains too much red pigment to match natural colour brows, so I probably wouldn't recommend to a friend.
